GHQ Training was established in 1992 to offer work-based training for trainees and businesses in the Plymouth and surrounding travel to work area. It is conveniently located in Plymouth city centre and is close to the bus station.

In its 2003 inspection, GHQ Training was acknowledged by the Adult Learning Inspectorate as being amongst the top 10% of the training organisations in England. Offering excellent facilities and support, backed by well skilled and qualified trainers, GHQ constantly monitors its performance to maintain and refine its high standards.

We are very proud of our record as a top training provider and we are responsive to the comments of our students. Their regular feedback confirms that we have helped them to select the appropriate course and level while supporting them throughout their learning. We are suppliers to the Learning & Skills Council to provide Modern Apprenticeships which are available to 16-25 year olds.

GHQ Training is a Franchise Partner of Plymouth College of Further Education, providing LSC Funded training for adult learners (16 – 65), who wish to obtain vocational qualifications.

Additionally GHQ Training has had a long association with the Tamar Valley Consortium of schools, enabling 6th Form students the opportunity to complete NVQ Qualifications while continuing with their GCSEs or A levels.

Whilst much of GHQ’s provision is for Modern Apprentices, we also provide training for the Assessor and Internal Verifier Awards for trainers, Further Education Teaching Awards, as well as Management Qualifications.

In some circumstances, we are able to access Government and European funding to enable people to access training which would otherwise prove difficult or impossible, for example, equipment, travel and childcare assistance.
